“Want more fans for your page ?” Tempting, isn’t it?

I received a spam with an advertising for the Facebook page IT Security News:

Nothing special, but the two things drew my attention:

– The picture was hosted by McAfee URL shortner: mcaf.ee

– The prices for the followers were different.

Want more fans on your page It Security News ?
Get more fans with our social media campaigns, starting at $29.90 for 1000 fans.

Ideal to kick off your fb page with a high number of fans, we also deliver to existing page in order to increase their visibility.

If you own a website, display your number of fans and popularity on social networks, and gain more trust and conversions from your visitors.

Get your first likes in few hours !!!

So, for 1000 fans/followers/views you have to pay differently.

Why is Facebook more expensive than Twitter, Instagram and YouTube?

Maybe because it is harder to obtain accounts?

Don’t ever pay for this. Even if we assume that they somehow bring you the users, they are not actually your users. So, they are useless for your business or page because they are not interested in what you do or what you have to say.

Most probably, they are exactly like you: they paid to get more visibility and they are being used to bring more visibility to you. Of course that you will be used in the same way for their pages.

So, don’t ever pay for something like this because it is fraud.
