Unitymedia is warning customers about default passwords of their routers

Unitymedia has sent a large mailing to their customers having the Ubee Modems requesting them to change the default password of the device.

Well, that makes sense if you think that they come with user “admin” and  password “admin”.

If you didn’t change the password until now, go here and check the manual.

 

What bothers me is the fact that they write just in the first paragraph that this is possible with “special software and technical know-how”.

All you need is to make a search on Google about “default password  Ubee Modems

If you don’t even know your password, you need to hard reset the settings.
