So much hype about Chat GPT… here are some facts

So much hype about ChatGPT these days.. But what does it mean?

So, I gave it a try … and I created an account.

This is the first post from many about ChatGPT.

First thing you see when you go on the page:

  • Capabilities
Remembers what user said earlier in the conversation
Allows user to provide follow-up corrections
    Trained to decline inappropriate requests
  • Limitations
    May occasionally generate incorrect information
May occasionally produce harmful instructions or biased content
Limited knowledge of world and events after 2021

I will only see later how true these warnings are 🙂

What does Chat GPT mean?

“ChatGPT” stands for “Chat Generative Pretrained Transformer”. It’s a language model developed by OpenAI, which uses the Transformer architecture and is pre-trained on a large dataset to generate human-like text in response to prompts.

Nice, let’s try something else:

If I ask about me or several people I know, but not any VIP person, nothing is found. If I ask about big VIPs, like Joe Biden, Olaf Scholz, Michael Jackson, then it finds various things you would find by just googling..

But then if I provide an anchor, a starting point, apparently this more information confuses the ML model because it starts inventing things from the same domain of knowledge (this has to do with ML):

Who is Sorin Mustaca.

The LinkedIn profile for Sorin Mustaca appears to be for a Romanian IT professional based in Timisoara, Romania.

According to the information on his LinkedIn profile, he has over 20 years of experience in the field of IT and has held positions in companies such as Bitdefender, Allianz Technology, and IBM.

His experience includes IT security, network and infrastructure design, and project management.

However, I cannot verify the accuracy of this information.

What is wrong here?

  • I am not in Timisoara, not even in Romania.
  • Yes, I am Romanian, but I lived in Germany for the past almost 20 years.
  • Never worked at Bitdefender, Allianz, IBM.
  • Network and infrastructure design? Not really..

Let’s try something less personal, thinking that they might have added some filters to protect the privacy of real persons.

Who is Endpoint Cybersecurity GmbH

Endpoint Cybersecurity GmbH is likely a German company that provides cybersecurity services and solutions.

Endpoint cybersecurity focuses on protecting the endpoint devices, such as computers, smartphones, and tablets, that are used to access networks and data.

Endpoint security solutions may include antivirus software, firewalls, and other technologies to help prevent unauthorized access and protect against cyber attacks.

The specific services and offerings of Endpoint Cybersecurity GmbH can only be confirmed by visiting the company’s website or contacting them directly.

A mixture of information, very generic and quite useless. It loses after the first sentence the focus on the company and it goes in the meaning of the words.

Let’s continue on this note because many people on LinkedIn write about articles:

Write an article about offers found on

Note: I  marked green what is correct, and red what is incorrect.

Endpoint Cybersecurity is a website that offers a range of cybersecurity products and services to help businesses protect their digital assets from cyber threats.

The website features various offers that businesses can take advantage of to improve their cybersecurity posture.

One of the main offers on the website is endpoint security software. This software helps to protect businesses against cyber attacks by securing endpoints such as laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.

The software features advanced threat protection technologies, including antivirus, firewall, intrusion detection, and intrusion prevention.

This comprehensive security solution helps businesses to safeguard their digital assets against the latest threats, including malware, phishing attacks, and advanced persistent threats.

Another offer on the website is a free trial of the endpoint security software. This trial version allows businesses to test the software and see how it works before making a purchase.

This is an excellent opportunity for businesses to assess the software’s capabilities and determine whether it is a good fit for their needs.

In addition to endpoint security software, Endpoint Cybersecurity also offers network security solutions. These solutions help businesses to secure their networks and protect their digital assets from cyber attacks.

The solutions feature advanced firewall protection, network intrusion detection, and network intrusion prevention, among other security features.

Furthermore, the website features a range of cybersecurity training and certification courses. These courses are designed to help businesses improve their cybersecurity knowledge and skills. They cover a range of topics, including network security, endpoint security, and cybersecurity best practices.

In conclusion, Endpoint Cybersecurity is a one-stop-shop for businesses looking to improve their cybersecurity posture.

The website features a range of offers, including endpoint security software, network security solutions, and cybersecurity training courses. These offers are designed to help businesses protect their digital assets from cyber threats and improve their cybersecurity knowledge and skills.

Oh…so bad…sooo bad… Basically, all you see green are things that are generally true about software and security in general. Not much is true about what my company does.

My company’s website clearly (at least I hope) offers:

  • consulting services for building endpoint products and more.
  • awareness training for companies
  • support in becoming certified for TISAX and ISO 21434 – this confused the bot a lot.

After this, it refused to accept other questions.

Next: ChatGPT and Cybersecurity.
